Not surprisingly, CROMATICS was originally a graffiti crew made up of friends, not a classic agency from the ground up. Over the years, it was an inevitable and logical graduation towards becoming the pioneers of large-scale, extraordinarily hand-painted murals for outdoor advertising in Germany. Since 2022, we have been making even more cities around the world more colourful with our spin off sister company CONCRETE CANDY.

THE SPACE is an urban experimental space on Kurfürstendamm in Berlin — a place where brands, culture, technology and community come together. This creates an open space in the heart of the city for ideas, encounters and new perspectives.

THE SPACE is designed and built as a modular space concept. The architecture, made from shipping containers, allows individual areas to be used separately or as a cohesive overall experience. When fully utilised, the venue can accommodate up to 500 pax.

Frederick Lau once said: “No one has seen my best films, because they were not accessible to everyone!". The problem: European indie and arthouse films have no real platform. That's exactly what he wanted to change with his business partner Nicolás Solar Lozier. Since we're also kind of cinephiles in the figurative sense, we jumped right in: BEHIND THE TREE is a streaming service for lovers of cinematic art. It provides fair payment for creators, with films that are as honest and passionate as the filmmakers themselves.

The highlight was in 2009: a Battle Tour with 18 cities in 18 days, followed by a book and a feature film release. In 2010, we took this concept one step further: PAINT CLUB. Here, in addition to a new colourful level of co-creative sketch battles, we introduced various children and youth programs, along with jail wars in correctional facilities. Not to mention, living room battles in shared apartments.
